Gamecock Men's Basketball
Colonial Life Arena has been the home of Gamecock men’s basketball since 2002. The team is led by head coach Lamont Paris, who enters his third season leading the program in 2024-25.
Paris, who was voted the 2024 SEC Coach of the Year, helped orchestrate the greatest single-season turnaround in program history in 2023-24 as South Carolina went 26-8 and returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2017. The 26 wins tied the 2016-17 Final Four Gamecock squad for the most single-season victories in program history. Carolina went 13-5 in SEC play, good for a T-2nd finish in the league.
The Gamecocks went 14-3 at home last season, highlighted by a 79-62 blowout victory over No. 6/6 Kentucky on Jan. 23, 2024. Carolina finished 20th in the nation (fourth in the SEC) in average attendance as 227,747 fans attended home games at Colonial Life Arena during the 2023-24 season.
